Reporting Supervisor: IVF CONSULTANT

Job Purpose of Nurse Fertility Point Clinic

Overall responsibility for this position is to provide quality nursing services to meet patient expectations and champion infection prevention activities as well as incident management within the fertility clinic.

Key Responsibilities

◆Assess, plan, implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes and provide appropriate health care services

◆ Perform nursing procedures safely and efficiently

◆Identify priorities and implement care based on individual patients needs and sound nursing judgment

◆Implement patient flow proces effectively

Utilize the standards and procedures of nursing care to continuously improve the quality of nursing and exceed patients expectations

◆Be a role model of the nursing profession and exercise professionalism at all times, ensuring all patients are treated with dignity, privacy, and respect, and are encouraged to be involved in their care

◆Communicate and act as liaison with patients, family, and health professio in a manner that respects confiden and dignity

◆Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to the Companys infection prevention and control protocols and utilize infection control measures, to provide a safe and suitable environ for patients, staff and visitors etc. 3

Safeguard all confidential information concerning patients treatment including their property

◆gate patients complaints and incidents promptly in accordance with the Company procedures, and submit required reports within the same shift

◆Be knowledgeable of the equipment in the department and to safeguard them from damage, wastage or lose

◆Ensure accurate documentation, proper record keeping, submission to the next level (including MOH) and storage of data for continuity, quality and legal references

◆Demonstrate a thorough knowle of aseptic principles and techniques maintain a safe and therapeutic sur environment and assessment of the patients physiological and psychological status before, during and after surgical procedures

Provide appropriate health care service

Provide Immunization and reproductive health services

◆ Perform screening, counselling, procedures and results interpretation also follow up

◆Provide health education and counselling to patients/clients and the community on identified health needs

Refer patients and clients appropriately and escort them while on transit as necessary

◆Collect, compile and analyze data for decision making, planning and policy making

◆Implement community health strategy with other workers as requ

◆ Participate in continuing educat programs directed towards personaand professional growth and development

◆ Utilize available resources effectively to ensure quality service delivery, profitability, and cost-containmen 3

Promote good interpersonal relationship amongst the nursing team, patients and other disciplines

Participate in professional organization and research activities which support and enhance nursing practice

◆ Uphold statutory regulations as required by the nursing profession and the laws of Kenya

◆Maintain and regularly update own professional knowledge and competence through education, research findings and self-motivated learning

◆Any other duties as assigned by th supervisor(s)

Minimum Qualifications

◆Diploma in KRCHN or a Bachelors degree in nursing (BSCN)

◆ Be registered by the Nursing Co of Kenya

Have a valid practice license

◆ Valid BLS Certification

◆Proficiency in computer application packages

Experience

◆Work experience of a minimum of two (2) years as a registered nurse in a hospital

Technical skills/Leadership competencies

◆Excellent reporting and presentation skills

◆Excellent communication skills -English and Kiswahili

◆Wide knowledge of the health industry

◆Good management skills

◆ Be a proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Self-motivation and the ability to v with minimum supervision
