To further strengthen our team, we are looking to fill the following position:
Maternal Newborn Community Health Intern
Reports to: Assistant Program Officer
Purpose: To glorify God by developing best practices that support Kenya’s sustainable development goals in maternal and newborn health.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support full-time staff in community mobilization and health education initiatives.
- Assist in managing the program’s financial, human, and physical resources under supervision.
- Foster excellent working relationships within Kijabe Hospital to ensure smooth communication and compliance with standards.
- Help build connections with county health service teams, including government and faith-based providers across the primary care continuum.
- Train volunteers and healthcare professionals in data collection and reporting procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Nursing, Community Health, Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous community experience is an added advantage.
